Brisket with a deep, even bark and ribs that come off the pit the same way every time come down to one thing: holding a steady fire for hours without babysitting it. That is the job this smoker was built to do.
The Recteq Flagship 1600 Pellet Smoker is a wood pellet grill that holds your set temperature anywhere from a 180°F smoke to a 700°F sear, so the results you got last weekend are the results you get this weekend.
Consistency starts with the PID controller. It constantly adjusts how pellets feed into the 304 stainless steel firepot to keep the cook chamber close to your target. Steady heat means fat renders slowly, connective tissue breaks down on schedule, and smoke flavor builds cleanly instead of swinging with the fire.
A cast iron heat deflector sits over the fire and spreads that heat across the chamber, so the brisket on the left cooks like the one on the right. Two meat probes report internal temps to the controller and the Recteq app over WiFi, so you can check a pork butt from the couch at 3 a.m. instead of opening the lid and dumping heat.
Recteq rates the 40 lb hopper for up to 40 hours of cook time, enough for an overnight packer brisket with fuel to spare. Startup is a push of a button, with HotFlash ceramic ignition rated for more than 100,000 lights.
Capacity is where the 1600 earns its name. With three cooking shelves, Recteq rates it for up to 6 briskets, 15 pork butts or 16 racks of ribs at once. That is a graduation party, a family reunion or a full week of meal prep in one load.
The temperature range covers more than smoking. Run it low for jerky and salmon, hold 250°F to 275°F for ribs and butts, then push past 400°F to roast whole chickens with crisp skin or bake cornbread. Crank it toward 700°F and you can sear steaks over the same hardwood fire. Flavor depends on what goes in the hopper, so stock up on hickory, cherry or a competition blend from our charcoal and wood pellets selection.
Recteq uses stainless steel where it counts: the cook chamber, firepot, grates and bull horn handles. Stainless stands up to weather and grease, and the grates scrub clean after a long cook. An improved grease management system and a steel drip pan make cleanup a quick job instead of a project.
This is a smoker you buy once and cook on for years. Compare it with the rest of the lineup in our Recteq pellet grills collection, or stop by the store to see it in person.

How fast will my order ship?
How fast will my order ship?
Order by 1pm Central on a business day and it ships same day. Most orders land on your doorstep within 2 to 3 days, and you'll get tracking the moment it leaves our hands.
How do I pick the right rub for what I'm cooking?
How do I pick the right rub for what I'm cooking?
Start with the protein. Beef loves coarse, pepper-forward rubs. Pork and chicken take well to sweeter, sugar-based blends. Fish and veggies want something lighter. Every product page tells you what the rub was built for, and if you're stuck between two, ask us. We cook with this stuff every weekend.
How long do rubs and sauces stay good?
How long do rubs and sauces stay good?
Unopened, most rubs hold peak flavor for about a year and sauces until the date on the bottle. Once opened, keep rubs sealed away from heat and humidity (not on the shelf above the grill) and refrigerate sauces after opening. If it still smells strong, it still cooks strong.
What if a flavor isn't what I expected?
What if a flavor isn't what I expected?
Give it a second shot before you shelve it. Rubs behave differently depending on the protein, the heat, and how heavy you go. A blend that's just okay on chicken is often unbelievable on pork ribs, and most sauces open up when they're brushed on during the last few minutes instead of after. If you tell us what you cooked and how, we'll tell you how to get the most out of the bottle you've got.
