Break free from spotty Bluetooth®. RFX™ by ThermoWorks is the only wireless meat thermometer setup you can actually rely on. Astonishingly stable, powerful, and long-range, our patent-pending radio frequency technology makes it easier than ever to monitor that brisket in real-time, from anywhere.
Everything you need to get started: RFX GATEWAY™ (receiver), RFX MEAT™ (wireless probe), Pro-Series® Air Probe (ambient temperature), grate clip, charging block, power adapter, USB cable, and probe rings.
Accuracy in every sensor
Roast, smoke, grill, and fry meats to restaurant-level perfection. Four hidden probe sensors are independently calibrated to find the true thermal center of your cook—and deliver ±0.9°F accuracy between 14 and 212ºF.
Precision you can trace
Each RFX MEAT probe comes with a digital certificate of calibration to certify that your instrument has been tested against international laboratory standards, including those set by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
Ambient temperatures you can trust
Competitors’ built-in ambient sensors give inaccurate readings as cold meat acts as a heat sink, pulling heat from the metal probe and skewing the measurement of the ambient sensor by 75°F or more. Even if these sensors were accurate, they're placed in an evaporative cooling zone around the meat. This means your ambient sensor is not reading the accurate temperature of your cooker. Their Pro-Series® Air Probe plugs directly into RFX GATEWAY for precise placement and true ambient temperature measurements.
Multi-device management for businesses
RFX GATEWAY handles 50+ wireless RFX MEAT probes simultaneously, ideal for professional kitchens and large-scale operations. We’ve future-proofed RFX: Your gateway is also compatible with a whole suite of forthcoming ThermoWorks RFX products.
How It Works
- RFX MEAT connects to RFX GATEWAY via patent-pending sub-GHz RFX wireless technology.
2. When connected to Wi-Fi, RFX GATEWAY sends data to our mobile app via ThermoWorks Cloud. Or, cook offline with a direct gateway-to-smartphone Bluetooth connection.

How do I pick the right rub for what I'm cooking?
How do I pick the right rub for what I'm cooking?
Start with the protein. Beef loves coarse, pepper-forward rubs. Pork and chicken take well to sweeter, sugar-based blends. Fish and veggies want something lighter. Every product page tells you what the rub was built for, and if you're stuck between two, ask us. We cook with this stuff every weekend.
How long do rubs and sauces stay good?
How long do rubs and sauces stay good?
Unopened, most rubs hold peak flavor for about a year and sauces until the date on the bottle. Once opened, keep rubs sealed away from heat and humidity (not on the shelf above the grill) and refrigerate sauces after opening. If it still smells strong, it still cooks strong.
What if a flavor isn't what I expected?
What if a flavor isn't what I expected?
Give it a second shot before you shelve it. Rubs behave differently depending on the protein, the heat, and how heavy you go. A blend that's just okay on chicken is often unbelievable on pork ribs, and most sauces open up when they're brushed on during the last few minutes instead of after. If you tell us what you cooked and how, we'll tell you how to get the most out of the bottle you've got.
